We decided to break our tradition of staying within our confined borders of

$3.00 post-paid (Glossy Cover)

This issue features an interviews with Charles Nevsimal by Charles P. Ries. Ries notes:

"I had finished my reading at Milwaukee's venerated Woodland Pattern Book Center's poetry Marathon, when a twenty-something guy carrying a camcorder and tape deck says, "I'd love to use some of your stuff in my Anthills. How about it?" That was my first meeting with small press publisher, Charles Nevismal. He started fast, and he hasn't slowed down. Centennial Press's inaugural issue of Anthills came out in 2000. Anthills 2 soon followed featuring a growing rooster of small press heavy weights and new voices including:  Antler, Matt Cook, Susan Firer, A.D. Winans, Lynne Savitt, Gunther C. Fogle, William Taylor Jr., John Sweet, justin.barrett, Nathan Graziano, Karl Koweski, Glen W. Cooper, Todd Moore, Bradley Mason Hamlin, Lyn Lifshin, Alex Carlson and John Tuschen.   A few years later Deborah Bingen joined the team (and married the Editor) as artist and designer. Her contribution was immediate with the release of two successive chapbooks: The System by A.D. Winans, and Exclamation Points: Ad Infinitum by Antler, both praised for their content as well as design. Then came a string of broadsides for poets like Gunther C. Fogle and Jeff Poniewaz.  More recently, Centennial Press has released Anthills 3 & 4, in addition to chapbooks for B.J. Best (a pocket-sized book called Crap) and Alex Carlson (Whispering Winds: the Record Player Reads. Both have sold extremely well."

and The Poets House interview by Doug Holder. Holder noted:

"I met Lee Briccetti executive director of "Poets House" during the "Poets House Showcase" this April (2006). "Poets House" is located in the SOHO section of New York City, and offers classes, lectures, readings, a library with thousands of poetry books, chaps, broadsides, etc... for the benefit of poets, writers, publishers, editors, and the general public to study and enjoy."

This issue features an interview with poet, Linda Lerner. Linda Lerner was chosen because of her unique and full force approach to the poem.. She has released a book out on Ibbetson Street Press, "A Koan for Samsara," this summer (reviewed in POESY #21) Robert Peters wrote: "Linda Lerner should be one of the most visible of our poets in this country... she is in a special outsider group of powerful and original American poets largely ignored by Poetry Establishment forces. Her amazing energies zap her poems with high voltage... She loves the open form, and works in a tradition of Ginsberg, Charles Plymel, and the Beats, and has quzzled much from Charles Bukowski..."
